Recycling the Past

When Filson, American maker of outdoor clothing and bags, asked Recycling the Past to help build their New York City showroom it was a natural fit.

The company, known for high quality and durable clothes and accessories, has been outfitting hunters and anglers, engineers and explorers, mariners and miners with rugged quality since 1897.

RTP’s old salvaged rail road spikes, wood planks and pipes were the perfect tools to create a unique clothing display and wall montage designed by Kirk Albert Vintage Furnishings.

Working in NYC is always a challenge [think elevators, other tenants, clean-up and parking] so RTP pre-made all materials at the shop in New Jersey and shipped them to the site. RTP then worked its magic installing and doing all the final fab work on site in one day.

The resulting showroom is just as amazing, durable and rugged as Filson’s products.
