Turkish Style Handmade Rug - 11764

The weavers of both the Turkish and Oriental rugs incorporated symbols into the design of their carpets. Each symbol had a meaning. The shape of these symbols was taken from nature and other things around them. So in the end, the rug told a 'story' of sorts. In some cases one has to interpret the meaning of some of these symbols. This is a vibrantly colored handmade Turkish style rug. The low pile was weaved using a combination of wool and cotton and edged on two sides with cotton fringe. The rug is in good used condition and measures 61 1/2" long x 39" wide. Nice size accent rug to add color and interest to your home.
