Turkish Style Rug - 11730

The weavers of both Turkish and Oriental rugs incorporated symbols into the design of their carpets. Each symbol had a meaning. The shape of these symbols was taken from nature and other things around them. So in the end, the rug told a 'story' of sorts. In some cases one has to interpret the meaning of some of these symbols. This particular rug has diamond shape symbols in the center which may represent man and woman. This nice and thick rug has almost no wear. The rich blues, golds and reds make this an excellent find for any room in the house. Slight fringe damage but otherwise in great condition.

19 3/4" W x 30" L
