Minton Series Tile - 1407

Mintons China Works, Stoke on Trent, England. One of twelve tiles of Minton's "Early English History" series entitled "Harold's Oath". Designed by John Moyr Smith circa 1872. Transfer printed design with cream and washed black covered in a glossy glaze. Increasingly rare tile from this underrated series. Very good overall condition.
