Pair of ceramic sconces that were salvaged from Doris Dukes estate. These should be rewired by a professional. There is a little bit of paint but in great condition. Doris Duke was born on November 22, 1912, in New York City, the only child of James and Nanaline Holt Inman Duke. Her father, James Buchanan "Buck" Duke, founded the American Tobacco Company and, with brother Newton Duke, the Southern Power Company, later known as Duke Power, a Duke Energy Company.
